Expert Spring Yard Clean Up Services in Calgary

We typically begin in mid-April, or as soon as the snow is gone and the ground has dried out enough to prevent damage from our equipment.

No, currently we do not clean, or remove pet waste. We kindly ask property owners that all pet waste be removed prior to our arrival. This ensures our equipment stays clean and we can do the best job possible on your lawn.

We bag organic waste in paper bags, which we leave on the property, ready for City green bin collection. Currently we do not haul away the bags from the properties we service. 

Most Calgary properties take 1–2 hours, depending on yard size and the number of services included. Larger lots or properties with heavy debris will take longer.

For properties with inground sprinklers system, booked for core aeration or power raking, we require the sprinkler heads flagged, prior to our crew arrival

We recommend against getting power raking and aeration done on new lawns, for the first 2 years, or until the sod is fully rooted. Due to the powerful mechanical action, there is a risk that aerators and power rakes can unseat or rip the new sod, if is not fully rooted. However the lawn can still be cleared of leaves and debris, by gently using leaf blowers and leaf rakes, also it can be fertilized and cut, assuming that it has been installed minimum 3-4 weeks prior.

Bookings can be canceled at any time, prior to scheduled service date. That gives us enough time to replace your property in our schedules, without any down times. However, for unannounced, on spot cancellations we charge a $80 fee. 

No, as long as we have access to the yard (gates unlocked) and pets are inside, we can complete the work while you are out. 

Due to equipment weight, we cannot move equipment up or down stairs. A ramp or a flat path must be available to access the work areas.

We kindly ask clients to clear the area we need to clean, of any items which can prevent our crew to do a proper clean up. We do not touch client property and as such can't move any items. Also, for properties booked for lawn aeration, which have inground sprinkler system, we require the sprinkler heads flagged, prior to our crew arrival, in order to prevent the machines running over and possibly damaging the sprinkler heads.

Water your lawn consistently and avoid heavy foot traffic for 24–48 hours, especially after aeration. Regular mowing and ongoing lawn care will maintain the results of the Spring clean up service

Depending on weather, we provide Spring clean ups up until mid to end of May. Some of the services, such as aeration or lawn fertilization, we offer on demand after we stop the Spring clean up service.

Indirectly, yes. A healthier lawn with good airflow, nutrients, and early-season growth is more resistant to common Calgary weeds such as dandelions and creeping bellflower. Combine the clean up with a fertilization and weed control program for best results.

There are no pre-payments, we email out an invoice after the service has been completed. As for payment, we currently accept e-transfers and cheques.
