We recommend keeping pets and children off the treated area until the product has completely dried. On a typical warm Calgary day (20°C+), this takes about 2 to 4 hours. Once dried, the active ingredients are absorbed into the plant and the lawn is safe for play.
The ideal window is usually late May to early June, in the Spring, and late August into September, in the Fall, when weeds are actively growing but haven't yet gone to seed. However, we offer season-long control packages that include spring, summer, and fall applications to manage different weed cycles.
We generally need a window of 2 to 4 hours without rain after application. If we spray and an unexpected heavy thunderstorm washes it away immediately, simply contact us for a complimentary re-application.
We do not recommend cutting the grass 2 days before and after application, in order to avoid additional stress and to maximize absorption after application. The bigger the leaf surface area, the better the absorption
Professional herbicides work systematically, killing the weed from the root up. You will often see the weeds curl and wither within 3–5 days, but total elimination can take up to two weeks. For severe infestations, a second visit may be required, which is often included in our seasonal packages..

Please do not water your lawn before we apply the weed control, grass needs to be dry at the time of application. After application, we recommend to avoid watering for at least 2-4 hours after our visit. Watering too soon can wash the herbicide off the weed leaves before it has been fully absorbed.
We do not recommend applying the treatment to newly seeded lawns until after the third mowing.
